Sustainable Society
A sustainable society balances the social and economic needs of our society with the need to protect our environment for present and future generations. PAC wants to further develop a European welfare state that aims to ensure the highest possible level of equality and prosperity. At the same time, climate protection, a progressive yet realistic plan for the transition to an economy that does not burden the global climate system, that does not threaten biodiversity and the overall state of the environment, is essential for us. We therefore support a realistic transition to carbon neutrality, the development of modern European and Czech industry, the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, etc.

"The issue of green transition has been a long-standing and increasingly frequent topic in EU policy. Member States are agreeing at the European level to take joint action. However, the issue has to be tackled primarily at a national level with policies adapted to the local problems of the country in question. In addition to society itself, private actors are also vulnerable to Member States in the green transition and the fight against climate change. It is these that the states are trying to help with their national Recovery and Resilience Plans, jointly financed by EU funds."
